Missouri had sacked BYU's QB Steve Young 4 times already by the time this trick play was pulled off with only 31 seconds remaining in the 1983 Holiday Bowl. Down 14-17 at Missouri's 15, Young handed the ball off to running back Eddie Stinnett who ran a few yards back and to the right only to throw a forward pass across the field right back to his quarterback, who ran it in for a 15-yard game winner. Missouri defensive back Bobbi Bell had already amassed the four sacks in the game and he almost intercepted the running back's high arching pass.
